Pie Plinth

Chatter written by Rebecca

Well HI there nice people of the intranets.

Here’s a few fun things I have discovered on my adventures.

- Lollipop Pies.
Holy pie-consuming mother of sweet mini-pastries. I cannot think of a better way to spend my Tuesday night (apart from queuing to get into that Imogen Heap gig)

Pie Pops

Jammy Goodness
This, to me, looks like eating pie and not botching up fit-into-jeans-by-birthday plan. Rad.

- The Place
The Professional Class at the Place was completely awesome this morning. If you happen to be a dancer, I recommend you go and bust some hardcore contemporary shapes.

They love it. I’m yet to be convinced.

- Anthony Gormley’s Plinth
I found out today that my Plinth Party has been cancelled due to not being randomly selected by One&Other to have a go on Anthony Gormley’s Fourth Plinth installation in Trafalgar Square. Another loss to the art world.

Anyway.

Beans and rice, you are nice.

So that’s why nutjobs go to Iceland

Last night I went to The Place to see Erna Ómarsdóttir‘s latest dance work, Teach Us To Outgrow Our Madness. Those of you who like to keep up to date with your Icelandic choreographers-cum-emo bands, might recognise the name from Poni, who Ómarsdóttir fronts. Usually in spandex.

Ómasdóttir’s show is weird, hairy, feminist and intense. Kind of like Bjork when she does extra weird stuff, but dance. They also do a screamo song at the end, which is always a bit of fun.

It’s on tonight too, I recommend you go and see it.
