GENRE?

I often think about things while brushing my teeth. It’s a good place to think. And you can’t really get sidetracked or do anything else apart from hover over the sink.

GENRE

So. Last night I was thinking. How I tend to think is like a conversation. One side from Rebecca’s omniscient brain-narrator, and the other from Rebecca’s brain.

Narrator: So if someone held a gun to your head and made you say what genre Bim are, or else you get it, what would you say…
Brain: Err.. err. (panic) Um. ‘Alternative electro-acoustic pop’?
Narrator: Jesus, are you serious? That’s terrible.
Brain: Damn. You’re right. Um. How about just ‘pop’ then?
Narrator: You’re dead. Sorry.
Brain: Balls. Ok. I’ll have a think for next time.

It’s always hard to define yourself. So I guess I’m putting it out there – what do you think we are?

i think the Asteroids have got it right. “Danish Space Rock.”

Can’t really beat that.

The best I could come up with was London Love Pop. And that sounds like a brothel.

    How do you sum up “Sit back, close your eyes and chillax” as a genre?
    I’d say something like erm… smooth electro? …Add pop on the end for kicks if you really like. ^^
    I really have no idea.

    To put it as simply as possible for the sake of pigeon-holing – “Electronica”.

    But if it’s complex descriptions you’re after, then I guess you could be considered “Ethereal Lo-Fi Sugarcoated Ambient Trip-Hop Shoegazer Pop” ;)

    I would describe ure amazing music if i was asked as soul-soothing, thought-reviving, softened pop-rock.

    Your songs are so beautiful i could quite happily listen to them over and over. Bim you are fantasticaly brilliant xxx
